D-cop radar base

D-cop radar base

Radar, speed enforcement, red light enforcement, camera

We are proud to announce that we have interfaced a radar sensor to our speed and red-light digital camera, D-cop.
The radar determines the speed, position and lane of multiple vehicles simultaneously even in complex situations such as a five lane scenario. All kind of vehicles can be detected, tracked and classified by the radar. Both moving and stopped vehicles can be handled. The sensor has a long range and a field of view which covers five lanes of traffic. The position and speed measurement is very precise considering that our radar has been certified for speed enforcement.
Intertraff radar sensor is one of the world’s smallest, high-performance 3D sensor and this made possible to reduce the dimensions of the D-cop housing.
The radar has been integrated in the D-cop to offer red-light and speed enforcement but this sensor allowed us to cover other possible violation scenarios such as tale gate and right turn.
Compared to piezo strips and loops installation, which we still offer, the radar supplies a quick and cost effective way to install the D-cop without damaging the asphalt. Compared to the laser base version of the D-cop, which controls only two lanes of traffic, the radar offers the option to monitor for up to 5 lanes but the main advantage is the aiming of the sensor itself which is much easier compared to laser.

Features:
> Detects, tracks and classifies traffic on multi lane
> Precisely measures the position and speed of each vehicle
> Tracks and classifies up to 32 or 64 objects simultaneously (trucks, vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians)
> Operates for 5 lanes
> Speed measurement up to 300km/h
> Measures per lane and for up to five lanes: vehicle volume, occupancy, 85th percentile speed, gap
> On board self-calibration and diagnostics
> All weather operation
> Small, lightweight, robust
> Maintenance free
